I was kinda surprised and unprepared at the request, but whatever.
I haven't drawn in Illustrator or drawn any Sonic charaters in forever. You can thank the latter part on SonicX and the lack of good Sonic games. (Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders, SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG, and the Sonic Advance games,) So I've been playing Sonic Gems. Finally beat Sonic CD with one whole Time Stone! YAY! One! I was so surprised when I got it. XD (I don't get that whole Mode 7 junk on the SNES either. Like F-Zero, and Mario cart, and I'm pretty sure I've crashed an airship or Chocobo in a random FF game ) But I've got he Museum filled up, and the final prizes are LAME. Opening FMV for Sonic Adventure? I've got two copies of that I could plop in and watch if I feel like it. And the final boss challenges are lame because of free for all cheat codes in the normal games....

Or "wii"~~~ because Nintendo's lost it.
Now that I've wandered off topic...
Anyway, she asked me to draw it "like the Shadougeckles picture, but take out Knuckles and replace Rouge with Kyra" or something XP. But seeing as that pretty much entails a complete redraw and nuances of shmoogies between a official and fan character (a kind of pairing I'm not too keen on) I just kinda used the style, which she liked anyway. Well, that and I'm not drawing those freakin' linked hands in Illustrator EVAAR AGAAAAIIIN~. Grr. That was forever ago and I still remember the pain clearly...
But either way, a new picture it is. And Kyra was pretty fun to draw. But I wasn't sure what outfit she wears, so I picked the Riders one and tweaked it. The pleats in her skirt were added so it wouldn't end up being "OMGLOL GRADENT SKWARE1 WTBQQ?!/1" Because you Dev people are weird and say things I don't understand.
The whole concept of the background was for it to be in the old-school Sonic Illustration style. I have the Sonic the Screensaver thing, and used the piccies as inspiration. But then it ended looking all round and shiney like Sonic X-Treme, so I rolled with it. (Hahaha 'roll' and 'round' *whoops* made a pun I didn't mean to.)
Anyway. 'Tis fun. And colors. 'Tis definately fun colors. I like the trees. Don't know why.
Now I have another fanchara/offichara request to draw. Maybe later I'll make a comic of me meeting Albel or something, showing what type of fan I am. *wink wink nudge nudge* not available in this area. Please try your call again later.... or never. Goes over my head anyway. Somewhere between those Sheltered and Duct-Taped status effects. *sigh*
